Orange Oil Q & A Interview
Q1: I'm hearing a lot of buzz about Orange Oil to kill termites. What is
Orange Oil?
A1: Orange Oil is another low toxicity product that when applied into the
galleries of infested wood, will kill termites on contact.

Q2: I've heard that Orange Oil can guarantee you won't have termites.
A2: When a termite infestation becomes obvious and all of the infested wood
members are identified, Orange Oil is one of many wood injected termiticides
that kills on contact. However, unless every single wood member within an entire
structure is treated, no product can guarantee that you won't get termites.
Q3: What makes Orange Oil different than other products?
A3: All alternative methods and termiticides are high tech and
specifically designed. However, they are not magic wands. The construction of
the structure is key in determining what method(s) to use. The key to successful
localized treatments is having an effective combination of localized alternative
termite tools and the experience and inspecting ability to implement it.
Therefore, Orange Oil, just like the Electro-Gun, Microwave, Heat, Timbor, Foam
and Fumigation when used properly can kill termites and protect your home.
Knowledge is power. And the right power will have termites choke on the
splinters of your home.

Q4: As a consumer where can I go to compare facts about termite treatment
methods?
A4: Nowadays, the internet is probably the best one stop shop for
information. Using the methods and/or specific product name as you search words.
Here at Ecola, our website
www.ecolatermite.com is very informative. Also,
www.pestweb.com comparing the MSDS
“Material Safety Data Sheets” of any products is like a side by side comparison
of cars. When the consumer learns the facts, it makes choosing a company that
offers most of the alternative methods, like ECOLA SERVICES, an obvious choice.
Q5: With so many termite companies out there, how do I know who I should
call?
A5: If it was my home and I didn't know a termite from a rat, I'd
research the reputation licensing and services available from the list of
company candidates. Yellow page ads usually tell us what services/methods each
company offers. The Structural Pest Control Board handles licenses. As for ECOLA
SERVICES, we were established on 1983.
We are BBB members with a “AA” Grade. We have a respected reputation with the
board whenever any issues have arisen and needed to be resolved. I'd also
reference the geographical availability of the company. ECOLA SERVICES has the
capacity to cater from San Luis Obispo to San Diego

Q6: I've had a couple inspections done in the past and a couple more now. Why
is there such a difference in prices, warranties and items listed on the
reports?
A6: The mother of all questions and the sore spot of most customers who
have had to deal with termite companies before. Truth be told when it comes to
traditional fumigations the cost should not, and I reiterate, should not be any
more that a $300 - $600 cost difference whether you use Terminix or ECOLA
SERVICES or anybody in between. When it comes to specialized alternative
methods, it can be a lot more of a case by case scenario. Here at ECOLA SERVICES
we are unique in the sense that we offer many services. Typically, our
inspectors will diagnose your home and present the legally required primary
recommendation and then a combination of alternative secondary treatments that
will “control” your termite problem and over time, under warranty, will
accomplish eradication and/or sustained control with a minimal amount of future
structural damage cause by the termites. After all, the only reason we have to
kill termites is because they are the only insect that has to eat wood to
survive, otherwise they would be like all other insects, a “nuisance”. ECOLA
SERVICES' intent is to be like the “Toyota” of the industry. To protect homes
with reliable services, time tested and perfected methods and a fair price and
solid warranty. Speaking of warranties, there is a big difference between a
termite warranty and a guarantee. No one can guarantee that you won't get
termites again, but they can give you a service warranty that when infestations
re-appear, they will control the problem. ECOLA SERVICES is no different. As for
report differences, this ultimately comes down to training, in the field
experience and knowing the rules & regulations. Here at ECOLA SERVICES, we are
committed to training and refining our inspectors to levels of equal uniformity
and state required compliancy.
