Botanical Pest Control

If you have pests in your home, removing them can be a pain. It can be even more of a hassle if you do not want to use harmful chemicals or your county restricts their use. Ecola Termite offer a wide range of botanical pest control solutions that can rid your home of termite and pest infestations without damaging the environment or putting your family’s health at risk. Call Ecola Termite to find out about some of our environmentally friendly options like Orange Oil.

Not to be confused with Agent Orange, this botanical pest control product is synthesized from extracts of citrus and can remove pests from your home while giving it a citrus aroma. Orange Oil is a new method of removing pest infestations, and it is only now catching on in many states. It has become a very useful tool in eradicating termites without using harmful chemicals that can damage the environment and possibly have ill long term effects on the inhabitants of houses.

One of the things that makes Orange Oil such an excellent botanical pest control agent is that it bio-degrades very quickly. In only 21 days samples degraded by up to 93%, with the remainder bio-degrading within a week or ten days. This product is extremely safe to use, non toxic to humans and kills all termites on contact. Most contact insecticides are harmful to all manner of animals as well as humans, but Orange Oil is specifically harmful to termites, and very little else.

When our consultant recommends Orange Oil as a botanical pest control option for your home, he will explain the extermination process to you. Each board that is infected must be treated with the Orange Oil. The oil will then seep into the wood, filling termite galleries quickly. Any termites coming in contact with the substance will be killed, and the oil will naturally degrade leaving your wood as good as new!

There are a few drawbacks when using a botanical pest control agent like Orange Oil. The first of these is the citrus smell, which some customers have found to be very strong and a little unpleasant. While most people do not object to the smell it does persist for a few weeks so if it bothers you then perhaps this is not the treatment for you. Orange Oil is also a marine pollutant, and should by no means by mixed with water or disposed of in the ocean or a lake.

We do offer various other alternative treatment options that are not harmful to the environment like microwave treatment, electrocution and Direct Heat treatment. All of these options are effective, but Orange Oil is our number one botanical pest control method, and it shows exceptional results to date. For a free quote simply give us a call and one of our consultants will discuss pest control options with you.
